Real preserved XL Yellow Kneed Tarantula which has been rehydrated, positioned, dried and pinned inside a shadow box frame.
Scientific name: Selenocosmia javanensis dolichoplectra.
This spider is a genus of tarantulas found in various places across the world including China, New Guinea, Australia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Laos, Vietnam, Philippines, India and Pakistan. They are known as whistling or barking spiders as they can produce sound using lyra hairs.
Dimensions: 8 x 8 inches
The frame is wall mountable and also has a stand attached to the back, making this an easy to setup display.
Our spiders are sourced from conservation farms where they typically live out their full life cycle and are collected once they pass on. From there, they are professionally preserved and sold to either businesses or education centres. This whole process is mostly run by small and family owned industries who are indigenous to the land they protect.
