Blue Cicada (Tosena Splendida) in Shadow Box Frame

This is a real preserved blue cicada which has been spread and pinned inside a timber shadow box frame. 

This stunning cicada is commonly found in Thailand. 

It's scientific name is Tosena splendida. 

Dimensions: H 16cm x W 16cm

The frame is wall mountable and also has a stand attached to the back, making this an easy to setup display.

Our cicadas are sourced from conservation farms where they typically live out their full life cycle and are collected once they pass on. From there, they are professionally preserved and sold to either businesses or education centres. This whole process is mostly run by small and family owned industries who are indigenous to the land they protect.
